Landshark News

fall   2008

The staff has been very busy at Landshark. The annual LANDSHARK ROCKS COZUMEL trip is filling up fast. If you have a desire to tune your dive skills and see the ocean at its best, call the Dive Center today. Because so many people have shown interest, we have started to look for additional accommodations. We would like to have as many divers as possible join us. The cost of the trip is $965 per diver and $650 per non-diver. (airfare not included) Your deposit of $350 will hold your spot. Save $50 by paying for your trip by Nov 30.

Don’t forget that your trip to Cozumel is a great time to improve your skills. Move up to that next level. We are offering a special for the ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER and made it easier to boot. PADI has enhanced the eLearning   program   to allow you to do the classroom/theory   portion on the web and we can complete your dives in the warm sunny waters of the Caribbean. Come home from Cozumel an ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER or better by making every dive count.   Check with us at the Dive Center to get more information. You may also want to take advantage of a specialty class. We will have opportunity to experience Boat Diving, Drift Diving, Deep Diving,   Night Diving, Underwater Navigation, and Underwater Digital Photography   just to name a few. Some of you may want to expand your bottom time with Nitrox as well. Stop in and let’s talk about where you want your next adventure to be.

Many of you are planning a trip to another location this winter. Just a reminder to get the inspections done on your gear, your warranty requires the annual inspections to stay in force. There is an advantage to doing them now when your dive schedule is not so busy. Call us at the Dive Center to schedule this important task. For those of you that are in the middle of planning a dive adventure, we have several new dive bags in the Dive Center now.   We also have the new DC800 underwater camera from Sealife to   capture all your   dives to share with your friends when you get back home.   Be sure to see the new line of Pinnacle dive bags and Sealife Cameras. They will be just the thing to put under the tree of your favorite Dive Buddy.

Here at Landshark, we are very proud of our divers. We would love to talk to you about your goals. Does being a rescue diver sound good to you? Let us know as we are planning the next Rescue Diver Course.   Do you see yourself as a Master Scuba Diver, the highest level of recreational diving? Maybe your goal is to enter the professional levels by earning your Dive Master certification. Most divers have thought about what it would be like to be able to share your diving experience with someone new to diving. Come by the Dive Center and let us know where you want diving to take you!!

Congratulations go out to this months newest Dive Master Ken McGhinnis.   One of this region's best spearfishing "Master Blaster" Jim Plimpton, has been working extra hard to complete the Dive Master Program before snow fall.   Stop by the Dive Center and meet Lori Dover as she has just recently   joined our Landshark Scuba Team.
